Terms of Service

Last updated 11 October 2026

The short version: Warren helps you track your spending. Your data stays yours. It is early access, so it is still growing, and we'll always be straight with you about what is ready and what is coming.

1. About these terms

These terms are an agreement between you and Martin Flischman, South Africa, who runs Warren (“we”, “us”). By creating an account or using Warren, you accept them. If you don't agree, please don't use Warren. How we handle your information is explained in the Privacy Policy.

2. Early access

Warren is in early access. It already works, but it is still being built: some features are marked “coming soon”, and things will change, improve or sometimes be removed. When you pay during early access, you pay for Warren as it is today and for its development, not for a promised list of future features. We'll say what is ready and what is still coming on the website and in the app.

3. Your account

  • You must be 18 or older.
  • Use an email address you control: anyone who can read it can sign in with the code we send.
  • Give us correct details, including when you pay.
  • Your account is for you alone. You are responsible for what happens in it and for what you enter.
  • We'll email you about your account, your payments and important changes to Warren. We send nothing else unless you choose to, and every such email has an unsubscribe link.

4. Plans and payments

  • Plans: the 1-Year Pass or the Lifetime Deal, both unlocking the same Warren. There is no free trial; the 14-day refund below is your safety net instead.
  • Prices are shown on the website before you pay, in US dollars. Any tax is shown at checkout.
  • Payments are handled by Creem (creem.io), which sells Warren to you as the seller of record and handles your card details, receipts and sales tax. Its own terms apply to the payment.
  • 1-Year Pass renews every year until you cancel. You can cancel at any time; you keep access until the end of the year you paid for.
  • Lifetime Deal is one payment for access for as long as Warren runs, including future features of the plan. It is not tied to your own lifetime, and it can't be moved to another person.
  • Refunds: changed your mind? Ask within 14 days of your first payment and you get all of it back. After that, payments are not refunded, unless the law says otherwise.
  • Price changes apply only to new purchases and to yearly renewals after we have told you at least 30 days ahead. They never change a Lifetime purchase.

5. Your data

Everything you put into Warren is yours. You let us store and process it only to run Warren for you, as the Privacy Policy explains. If your plan ends, your data stays in your account, so you can export it or come back to it; you can delete it at any time. You can export your expenses as a CSV file and delete your account at any time in Settings. Please keep your own export now and then: we take care of your data, but we can't promise it can never be lost.

6. Not financial advice

Warren shows what you enter: totals, budgets, warnings and categories worked out from your own records and bank statements. Automatic categories and imports can be wrong, so check them. Nothing in Warren is financial, tax or legal advice, and your money decisions are your own.

7. Fair use

Please don't misuse Warren: no breaking or testing its security without our permission, no getting into other people's data, no overloading it, scraping it or copying it, and nothing illegal. We may suspend or close an account that does, and tell you why.

8. When things go wrong

We work hard to keep Warren running and correct, but it is provided “as is”: we can't promise it will always be available, free of errors or right for your needs. As far as the law allows, we are not liable for indirect losses, such as lost savings or decisions made from what Warren showed, and our total liability to you is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the problem. Nothing in these terms takes away rights you have under South Africa's Consumer Protection Act or other laws that can't be excluded.

9. Ending

You can stop at any time by deleting your account in Settings. If we ever have to close Warren, we'll tell you at least 30 days ahead, so you have time to export your data.

10. Changes to these terms

If we change these terms, we'll update the date at the top. For changes that matter, we'll tell you by email or in the app before they apply. If you keep using Warren after that, you accept the new terms.

11. Law

These terms are governed by the law of the Republic of South Africa, and its courts decide any dispute. If one part of these terms can't be enforced, the rest still applies. These terms don't make you and us partners, employer and employee, or agents of each other.

12. Contact
